What do the ActiveX Controls do?

Posted by PRO Tue, 16 Sep 2008 13:00:00 GMT

Installation of these controls are vital because they provide important  functionality in Tempo 5.0 that allow you to:

• Collate and print multiple report types
• Print to an Adobe PDF file.
• “Drag-and-drop” fields into your own personal reports
• Re-size property and agent photos
• Create and revise the Tempo one-line results reports when searching in Tempo (called results “Grids”)

Click on the link in the Tempo Sidebar named “Tempo 5 set-up and information”  and choose the “Get the Active X Controls”.  Again, it is a simple, one-time  process that only takes a few minutes.

What is an “Active X” control and why do I need it to run Tempo 5?

Posted by PRO Tue, 16 Sep 2008 12:55:00 GMT

Q: What is an “Active X” control and why do I need it to run Tempo 5?

A: The Tempo 5.0 system requires a one-time installation of ActiveX controls on  each computer you will be using to access Tempo 5.0.  ActiveX controls are a  type of “helper” program that, once installed, gives your Internet Explorer  browser additional capabilities.  You may already be familiar with ActiveX  controls with other Internet programs.  Your bank may require a similar  installation for on-line banking services, and certain web mail services may also  require ActiveX control installations.
